Second annual Christmas event. Not as polished as many city events but a lot more fun and authentic. Great accordion player and dance group. Plenty of food and drink. And lots of people. Can't even estimate the crowd, but there was overflow in the parking lot and cars lining the streets in all directions. I do not typically like these holiday craft shows but I would come back to this one. Get here early.
I'd give it 3-1/2 if I could but, alas, I rounded down. They put on events that themselves would warrant a better rating, but these events have become so popular that attending one is now a game of managing bottlenecks, either physically or in time spent waiting in line for food and drink. Either they need more property or they need to make better use of the property they have in order to properly accommodate attendees of their best-conceived events.
Great people, Great prices and a Great Time. I love it there. It's a private club but it is easy to join. They do almost everything wonderfully. Great German food and Live Music.
Private German social club that has occasional events open to the public. We recently attended their Christkindlmarkt which is well run by their volunteers. Get there early as parking is very limited and fills up quickly. We ate dinner in the dining room. I had the schweinhaxe and my wife had the schnitzel. Both were great. Look forward to attending next year.
I visited the Liederkranz during one of their open-to-the-public events - their Christkindlmarkt. Having seen pictures of and heard about these events IN Germany, I have to say it was very authentic! The event was well-run and adequately staffed. The food was delicious. There was a good variety of vendors. There was a minor snafu with parking...but only because of the previous day's snow. That just required a little patience and/or a little walking. I can't wait to go back for more public events and wish I lived closer that I might join the club!
